Terms and conditions
Read the terms for using Gratis-Examenroutes.be.
Last updated: 20 October 2026
1. Identity and scope
These terms and conditions apply to any use of the website Gratis-Examenroutes.be (the "website"). The website is operated by: The Empire, enterprise number BE0793.394.078, email: info@gratis-examenroutes.be. By using the website you accept these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
2. What the website offers
Gratis-Examenroutes.be is a free informational website with practice routes for the practical driving test for licence B, sorted by test centre, plus tips and articles to help you prepare. No account is needed and using the website is free of charge. The website is funded by advertising.
3. Indicative information
The routes, maps, route steps and other content are indicative and meant as a preparation aid. They are not official test routes and we do not guarantee that you will follow one of them during your test. Roadworks, diversions, changed traffic situations and examiner decisions may differ from what the website shows.
We aim to provide correct and up-to-date information, but cannot guarantee its accuracy, completeness or timeliness. The content is general information and not professional advice, for example from a driving school or instructor.
4. Your own responsibility and road safety
You always remain responsible for obeying traffic rules, including when you follow a practice route from the website. Only practise with a supervisor who meets the legal requirements, make sure you have the required insurance and documents, and always drive safely and in line with the conditions. Do not use route descriptions or maps in a way that distracts you from the traffic.
5. No affiliation with authorities or test centres
Gratis-Examenroutes.be is an independent website. It is not affiliated with, approved by or acting on behalf of any test centre, driving school, public authority or organisation that conducts driving tests. Names of test centres and other organisations are mentioned for information only and remain the property of their rights holders.
6. Maps and third-party data
The maps are based on data from OpenStreetMap and its contributors (© OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database Licence) and, on some pages, on embedded Google Maps maps. For Google Maps, the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and Google's privacy policy apply. Maps and routes may contain errors or outdated data. The terms of those third parties apply to their data and content.
7. Limitation of liability
The Empire is not liable for damage arising from the use of the website or from following a practice route, nor for inaccuracies in the information, failing a test, fines or accidents. This limitation does not apply to intent or gross negligence, nor to liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, such as liability for personal injury where the law prohibits exclusion. Mandatory consumer rights remain fully applicable.
As the website is offered free of charge, our liability is, to the extent permitted by law, limited to direct damage. We are not liable for indirect damage, such as lost profit, loss of data or consequential loss.
We cannot guarantee that the website is always available, error-free or free of viruses. We are not liable for damage caused by force majeure, such as failures at hosting or internet providers.
8. Intellectual property
All content on the website, such as texts, images, logos, route descriptions, map displays, database and the layout, is protected by intellectual property rights (including database rights) and remains the property of The Empire or the rights holders. You may view the content for personal, non-commercial use and share it via the share buttons or a link. Any other copying, distribution, resale or systematic extraction of the content (for example by scraping, bots or use for training AI systems) is not allowed without prior written permission. No permission is needed for quotations and for sharing a link, provided you clearly state the source.
9. Permitted use
You use the website lawfully only and for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not disrupt or overload the operation of the website, attempt unauthorised access to systems or data, artificially click or manipulate advertisements, or use the website to spread harmful or unlawful content. In case of abuse we may restrict or block your access.
10. Advertisements and external links
The website shows advertisements, including through Google AdSense, and may link to third-party websites. We have no influence over the content, offering or privacy and cookie policies of those third parties and are not responsible for them. A link or advertisement does not mean we endorse the content or the advertiser. Agreements you enter into with advertisers or other third parties are solely between you and that party.
11. Communication by email
When you send us an email, you do not include unlawful, abusive or misleading content. The website has no contact form: contact is via the email address at the bottom of this page. We handle your data as described in our privacy policy.
12. Privacy and cookies
How we handle personal data is described in our privacy policy. Which cookies we use and how to manage your choice is described in our cookie policy. Both form part of these terms insofar as they govern the use of the website.
13. Changes to the website
We may change, temporarily suspend or discontinue the website or parts of it at any time, without prior notice and without entitling anyone to compensation.
14. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms and conditions at any time, for example when adding features or when legislation changes. The latest version is always on this page, with the date of the last change at the top. By continuing to use the website after a change, you accept the amended terms.
15. Invalidity and no waiver
If any provision of these terms is void or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay fully in force and we will replace it with a valid provision that comes as close as possible to its purpose. Not exercising a right immediately does not mean we waive it.
16. Language
These terms are available in Dutch, French and English. In case of differences between the language versions, the Dutch version prevails.
17. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms and the use of the website are governed exclusively by Belgian law. Disputes are submitted to the competent Belgian courts, without prejudice to mandatory legal provisions in favour of consumers, which give you the right to bring the dispute before the court of your place of residence.
